Sauteed Fresh Green Beans Recipe: Ingredients
- 1 lb. fresh green beans
- 2T. butter
- 1T. very thin onion slices, cut into 1” lengths
- 1t. sea salt
- 1/4t. freshly ground pepper
- 1 pinch baking soda
How to Make Sauteed Fresh Green Beans
- Let butter melt in skillet over medium-low heat, while you wash and trim beans. Do not use your largest burner.
- Stir in the onion. Due to its thinness, it will be soft in less than a minute.
- Add beans to pan.
- Sprinkle with the salt and pepper.
- Toss with a spatula to coat.
- Cook 3 minutes. Stir in baking soda.
- Cover pan and cook 10 more minutes, more or less, until they are tender to your preference
