- 1 lb. fresh green beans
- 1T. peanut oil
- 1t. minced garlic
- 1/4t. crushed red pepper
- 2T. soy sauce
- 1T. brown sugar
- 1t. cornstarch
- 1/4c. peanuts
How to Make Sautéed Green Beans with Garlic
- Heat the oil in skillet over low heat, while you wash and trim beans. Do not use your largest burner.
- Add beans to pan.
- Sprinkle with the garlic and red pepper, tossing with a spatula to coat.
- Cover pan and cook 15 minutes.
- In a small dish, whisk together soy sauce, brown sugar, and cornstarch to form a sauce. Stir this into the beans. Keep stirring; it should thicken in a few minutes.
- Garnish with peanuts prior to serving.
